Our Manifesto & Commitments
The world is shocked at what it is seeing and the growing humanitarian crisis unfolding before us as the citizens of Ukraine seek safety.
Like many people and businesses we have been thinking about what can be done to help. Practical help that may positively impact the lives of those living through such difficulties.
Fintech is an exceptionally high growth industry and dependent upon talented people to fuel that growth. Ukraine has been one of many centres of excellence and expertise when it comes to fintech innovation, whether that is engineering, marketing, sales, finance or the many other areas of expertise that help drive our industry.
As a result of the invasion of Ukraine there are now a huge number of citizens leaving their homes and their country to seek refuge and safety. Their immediate concern will be security, shelter and food; and a number of charities and agencies are addressing these immediate needs.
In the subsequent weeks and months, as people start rebuilding their lives and careers, there will be an opportunity for the Fintech industry to help.
Fintech Without Frontiers is an industry initiative to support displaced fintech talent with career opportunities. The idea is simple, to help create opportunity for those fleeing conflict by finding work among the many fintechs who need help on their own growth journey. The power of a collective will be far greater than each organisation operating on its own.
This is a genuine initiative to provide real help. Both to the individuals and for the businesses who sign up.
It is not about publicity or ticking boxes, it is about trying to expose real opportunities to help those in need. Equally it is not about hiring for charity or the sake of hiring, it is a route to help businesses find the right talent to help them grow.
But together we can have a much greater positive impact!
